Thigh high Elastobol stockings are recommended to prevent embolism in case of long bed rests and before, during and after operations, as these stockings significantly reduce the risk of thrombus in the large blood vessels of the pelvis. These stockings support the blood flow towards the heart, as their compression is decreasing from the ankles towards the top of the thighs. This product a perfect substitute for the bandages preferably used in hospitals, and also recommended for continued home use. Also, these stockings are easier to use, as they have only to be pulled on the leg, and require absolutely no medical expertise of patients.
